Shiatsu is a complementary therapy which works on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. It supports the movement of Ki or energy round the body to nurture areas of deficiency and to move blocked energy. It responds to the needs of the whole person in that moment.
Beth first became interested in Shiatsu in the mid-nineties and studied for three years at that point but it was half a lifetime later after spending time on other career paths and bringing up children that she realised she wished to return to this amazing art. Three more years study has seen Beth complete a diploma in Shiatsu and she is now fulfilling her goal of helping people become their best selves through supporting their health and wellbeing.
Beth sees Shiatsu as a daily practice promoting and supporting a person’s own healing. The simple touch that so many of us lack in this modern culture we live in. It goes back to basics, to the mother’s touch and helps people take time to balance themselves.Stress anxiety and all manner of common aches and pains can be helped through Shiatsu.
